Immerse yourself in nature for the day and learn how to successfully take the curriculum outdoors!
Taking the curriculum outdoors improves children’s engagement, supports their holistic well-being and when we combine this with teaching curriculum objectives, it can also boost academic attainment. Here at Alfresco Learning we help teachers unlock the potential in taking their everyday lessons outdoors through our training.
Taking the curriculum outdoors in KS1 & KS2
Throughout the course, we share a wealth of inspiring activity ideas that you can implement with your own class the very next day. Our training courses are ideal for teachers also looking to gain confidence in the practicalities of taking whole classes outside. We cover KS1 & KS2 to enable you to share our unique approach with your whole staff team when you return to school.
All of our training courses currently take place at Old Moor Nature Reserve, Rotherham, South Yorkshire.
This location has been carefully chosen as it provides spaces to emulate your typical school playground and playing fields, whilst also providing inspiration for how to make the most of your school garden and grounds.
When our next course date & location is released we will notify you by email.
