Exploring hibernation
In this outdoor session, children will develop their understanding of hibernation and provide homes for one of the nations’ best loved mammals: the humble hedgehog!

Nurture a love of local wildlife in your children by creating their very own bird feeders. They will be able to watch any visitors that come to feed throughout the season and enjoy learning the names and characteristics of different bird species.

In this outdoor activity, children will experience awe and wonder as they gaze at the stars and create their own constellations. They will develop their art and Science skills and knowledge as well as discovering the myths behind some of the common constellations.
Allow the children to take on the role of meteorologists to explore and monitor your local weather patterns during winter with this creative and fun outdoor session.

Spark your children’s curiosity about our native mammals in this fun, treasure hunt style session. They will learn about the ecology of British mammals whilst creating tracks, dens and models of the animals themselves.
In this outdoor session, the well known story of ‘The Snowman’ is used as a stimulus for creating a winter party! The children will make instruments using natural materials and use them to play a winter-themed song at the party.
