During this creative and fun outdoor lesson, children will need to work together to create a piece of natural art. They’ll then use their knowledge of expanded noun phrases and prepositional phrases to describe it, in addition to revisiting the different types of nouns.
The main activity of this outdoor lesson requires children to create and follow activity trails in your outdoor space. They will need to apply their understanding of verbs, adverbials and prepositions in order to complete each trail successfully!
During this outdoor lesson, children’s understanding about a wide variety of word classes and grammatical terms will be reinforced. This lesson requires minimal resources and will promote physical activity as well as collaboration, while having a bit of fun with word classes!
Have your children apply their knowledge of grammar in this active outdoor lesson! They’ll combine their knowledge of coordinate grids with their understanding of verb prefixes before moving onto a timed challenge which will allow them to identify and use a range of grammatical terms.
