We will work with you & your staff to look at the spaces available around your School grounds. Using our experience of delivering workshops in many different settings, we will bring a fresh perspective into how to utilise the space you currently have for learning. We can also offer some advice on how to further develop your spaces, if this is something you are looking to develop.
Our cottonwool, helicopter parenting culture can present challenges for teachers when embracing outdoor learning. We will share our positive strategies for involving parents in outdoor learning, fostering a supportive relationship with them & we will share how you can encourage parents to spend more time outdoors at home with their children too.
Often teachers’ main concerns are linked to behaviour in some way. Whether you have children who are reluctant, sensory-seeking, boundary pushers or just generally a rambunctious lot; we can offer a range of strategies to support your staff in outdoor learning.
Choose from Maths, SPaG & Phonics, Science and PSHE & mindfulness . All of our activity ideas cover the entire Primary age range. We will use natural loose parts, writing materials & your outdoor space. These teaching activities are designed to be adaptable, encourage active learning and can be implemented into teaching the very next day!
These activity ideas cover other areas of the curriculum such as Geography, History, Art, D&T and RE. If you’re searching for some fresh ideas for current topics, or are planning ahead to take your next topic outdoors; we can share plenty of inspiration with your staff to encourage them to get stuck into outdoor learning.
Having the right loose part resources provide an essential toolkit to effective outdoor learning for all ages. We’ll show you which natural loose parts are best for enhancing your outdoor activities, demonstrate some activity ideas to use them across the Primary age range & best of all share how to build most of your collection either for free or at minimal cost!
