Payment & Cancellation Policy

Payments

All payments are due 4 working days following the delivery of all booked training, by either bank transfer or cheque, unless another date has been agreed by us prior to the delivery.

Payment by bank transfer must be cleared by the date due to the account details provided on the invoice.


Cheques must be received by us by the due date.


Payments overdue by more than 5 working days will accrue interest at 10% annually, applied daily.


  • If you pay by BACS, the payment must be processed 3 days prior to the due date to ensure that funds are in our account by the due date
  • If you pay by Cheque, it must be posted 3 days prior to the due date to ensure we receive it by the due date.

Cancellations

To cancel training you must provide notice 4 weeks prior to the delivery date. This will allow you to cancel the training free of charge.

If you require to cancel the training at shorter notice the following conditions apply:

  • Notice given within 2-4 weeks prior to the delivery date, will incur a 25% charge of the total cost.
  • Notice given less than 2 weeks prior to the delivery date, will incur a 50% charge of the total cost.

In the unlikely event that Alfresco Learning cannot deliver training, due to ill health or family emergencies, we will contact you to rearrange the training at a time to suit you. If a new delivery date cannot be agreed the training will be cancelled at no cost.

Unsuitable weather

We check the forecast regularly in the run up to delivering the training. If we deem that the weather conditions forecast are likely to be unsafe (strong winds, torrential rain or storms), we will contact you 2 days prior to the delivery date to rearrange. While we will endeavour to reschedule at a time to suit you, we will need to consider upcoming weather conditions and other bookings when offering a new delivery date. If a new delivery date cannot be agreed the training will be cancelled at no cost.

COVID-19

The setting has a responsibility to meet our COVID-19 requirements to enable us to deliver the training safely.

We reserve the right to cancel up to and including the day of the training if either the setting’s or trainer’s circumstances change considering COVID-19, with no cost incurred. The setting must inform Alfresco Learning if any of the following circumstances occur 2 weeks prior to the training:

  • A member of staff displays symptoms of COVID-19 (raised temperature, dry persistent cough and/or a loss of smell & taste)
  • A child in the school has displayed symptoms of COVID-19 – under these circumstances we will call you discuss the wider impact on staff to decide whether the training can still safely go ahead.
  • A positive test result from staff/children within the setting has occurred.

Alfresco Learning will call the school on the morning of the delivery date to confirm that all trainers are free of symptoms.

After the delivery of the training

Within 2 weeks of the delivery date if there are any suspected cases of COVID-19 in the members of staff the trainers came into contact with, the setting must inform Alfresco Learning.

If any of the trainers display symptoms of COVID-19 within 2 weeks of the delivery date, Alfresco Learning will call the setting to inform them and pass on the setting’s details to NHS track and trace.
